Great news!!!! The Virginia Codes are now becoming available for purchase from ICC. Over the past several months, DHCD has been working closely with ICC to provide the highest quality products and the best customer service to our clients and stakeholders.

As the majority of our customers may be aware, the Virginia Codes will incorporate the customized text of the Virginia administrative and technical amendments within the base text of the ICC model codes. Therefore, there will be a single volume for each code discipline, inclusive of the USBC amended language, with no need for the separate USBC pamphlets that historically accompanied the ICC model codes for enforcement regulations in Virginia.

You may have recently noted the Virginia Codes advertised for sale in the 2008 ICC Product Catalog. Although each code publication will be added to the in-stock product list as they roll off the press, you may pre-order those publications not yet available, including the complete sets.

Really great news!!!! For a limited time, ICC is offering a reduced price schedule for the Virginia Codes. ICC will honor the reduced prices that are listed on the attachment through July 31, 2008 in order that localities may order in either this or the next fiscal year, as their budgets permit.

Even better news!!!! If you have previously purchased the Virginia Codes at the full member or list price, ICC will honor the reduced price and provide a refund of the price differential. Please contact the ICC sales department for complete instructions.

In addition, the Virginia Codes and the related regulations will be available on the ICC eCodes website. Unlimited electronic access will be provided at no charge to our customers. Please visit the direct website address of http://ecodes.biz/product.cfm?category_id=94, which will house all Virginia Codes and regulations as they are finalized.

Please be advised that each locality will receive one copy per building, fire, and property maintenance official of the USBC and related regulations, in pamphlet style, directly from DHCD. As in the previous years, the USBC will also be available for viewing and downloading electronically from the DHCD website.

DHCD encourages you to take advantage of this opportunity to purchase the Virginia Codes through ICC at the reduced price schedule which expires on July 31, 2008. DHCD also appreciates your support of the Virginia/ICC partnership and your patronage. We hope that you find the Virginia Codes a useful tool in the office and the field for all of your code enforcement needs. As always, your feedback is invited and welcomed. Thank you again.
