CALL TO ORDER

PLEDGE OF ALLGIANCE

ITEM 1. AGENDA/ATTENDANCE

a. The agenda was presented by Richard Moore and approved.

b. The attendance sign in sheet was circulated. Members were asked to verify their contact information and to pencil in changes or additions.

c. The minutes for October 18, 2011 approved by members present with no changes

ITEM 2. REPORTS-GENERAL

a. BCAAC – No reported filed.

b. DHCD/TASO – Ms. Negley provided information regarding the future Energy Certifications. She also provided information about upcoming training for residential and commercial (2 day class). Handouts were provided regarding the Chinese drywall issues and handling of the claims. Ms. Negley also shared the AG’s opinion with regards to Farm/Agricultural Use structures being used for special events.

c. ICC Board – Jean Stanley reported there will be a meeting in January 2012 (Hagerstown, MD)

d. ICC Region 7 – No report available.

e. DRC- No Report (Rick Witt not present)

f. Region Chairs - Richard reported we are in a state of transition with the election of the new VBCOA officers and committee assignments. Region chairs will be meeting in January 2012.

g. Treasurer - (Jeff Brown) Checking balance $6,316.69, Scholarship Balance $1,743.00, and General $4,573.69.

h. Past Presidents Report- No report.

a. Administration Ad HOC - (Bob Allen) - Not in attendance and no report

b. Awards & Resolutions - (Hudson and Childers) – No Reports

General – (Rodger Slate) No report.

Means of Egress – (George Woodall) George was unable to attend. No report. George’s coworkers informed Richard that he has not been contacted by the chair and needed additional information.

Fire Safety- (Charles Gregory) Unable to attend. No report.

Structural – (Chris Snidow) – Waiting for 2012 State amendments- 2015 National changes after January 1^st.

d. International Residential Code – (Charles Bajnai) Chuck was unable to attend (Out of town).

e. Education – (Dallas Johnson) Dallas was unable to attend. Richard asked for input on the memberships training ideas for the upcoming year.

f. Energy Conservation - (Rodger Slate) A round table discussion was held in Williamsburg that involved the Green Code and it will be reviewed in Virginia.

g. Legislation - (Julie Walton) Discussion on Mandate and general assembly action.

h. Mechanical- Plumbing Code

Mechanical – (Scott Childers) No report

Plumbing - (Mark Pond) Unable to attend. No Report

i. Membership - (Waller & Joyce) - No report.

j. Nominations - (Jeff Brown) – Jeff provided a report on the new VBCOA officers and voted on in Williamsburg.

k. Property Maintenance - (Mark Bridgeman) – Last meeting was canceled and no other meeting has been scheduled.

l. Public Information - (Jeff Anderson) Jeff was unable to attend. Richard reminded the members to forward information about special events and happenings that take place in their locality to Jeff for inclusion in chapter of the year submission.

m. Small Jurisdiction – (Mike Veliky and Al Ellington) Unable to attend – No report.

n. Time and Place - (Jean Stanley) – Jean will be looking at Chesterfield County area for February meeting and asked for input on future meeting locations.

A discussion on assistance for the Earthquake damage area with a

Challenge issued by Region 4 of $1000.00. No decision was made and the item was tabled.
